The transfer requested by Thomas Tuchel to Bayern Munich

Bayern Munich won the Bundesliga title in the last stage of the season, but the team was prematurely eliminated from the UEFA Champions League and the German Cup. Thomas Tuchel has already outlined his goals for next season and has asked his bosses for a player for next season.

Thomas Tuchel replaced Julian Nagelsmann on the Bayern Munich bench in the middle of the season, and the Bavarian team did not look good at all and came close to losing the title to rivals Borussia Dortmund.

The German champions have already started their transfer campaign for next season and brought in Konrad Laimer (from RB Leipzig) and Raphael Guerreiro (from Borussia Dortmund), both for free following the expiry of their contracts with their former teams.

Now, according to the BILD newspaper, Thomas Tuchel would have asked the Bayern bosses for a specific player.

It is about Frenkie De Jong, the current player of FC Barcelona.

Xavi Hernandez, the coach of the Catalans, has repeatedly announced that the Dutch international is untransferable, being one of the team’s most important players.

Quoted at 75 million euros according to Transfermarkt, Frenkie De Jong was also wanted by Manchester United last summer, but the two parties could not reach a consensus, although the English were willing to pay more than 80 million euros euro.

De Jong arrived at Camp Nou in July 2019, having been brought from Ajax Amsterdam for 86 million euros, and since then he has made 183 appearances for Barcelona.

It will be a very difficult task for Bayern to bring De Jong to Germany, but the quoted source states that the officials of the Bundesliga group are already preparing an offer for the Spaniard.
